Department of Preschool Education
In 1997, with the aim of training qualified preschool educators, it started teaching with 206 students within the Faculty of Education at Süleyman Demirel University in Burdur. Initially, the department, which carried out its educational activities under the name of Preschool Education Teaching Department, later continued its education and training as Preschool Education ABD in the Primary Education Department within the scope of restructuring in the Faculty of Education. With the establishment of Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2006, it continues its activities as Preschool Education in the Basic Education department of the Faculty of Education. The language of instruction in the department is Turkish and the duration of education is 4 years. Students graduate with the title of Preschool Teacher when they successfully fulfill the curriculum and graduation requirements. Graduates can work as preschool teachers in public and private institutions. The academic staff of the department consists of 2 professors, 4 doctorate faculty members, and 1 research assistant.
